How'd it come about?

This is a tune that I wrote around 2007. The main riff (starts off the song) is actually a regular guitar that I dropped an octave in pitch, in post processing. The strings seemed to naturally just come together, as always. I can't remember how I came up with the bouncy notes over the acoustic or the solo. The solo is done with this effect I love that just cuts through the mix. I think its a preset on my BossGT processor.
